At first glance, the convergence of photography, womanhood, and ballet represents a classical canon. However, the works of Yevgeniy Repiashenko transcend conventional perception, engaging with the very essence of plasticity.
Before us is a harmony of pure lines and an ode to the capabilities of the human body — a modern iteration of classical sculpture, recreated through the medium of photography, impeccable light, and deep space. Utilising expressive chiaroscuro and a cinematographic depth of field, the author lays bare the dual nature of ballet: a union of fragility and colossal inner strength, where weightlessness is born through endurance. In these frames, the living body itself dictates the architecture of movement, establishing its own rhythm and composition.
The SPIRIT series is an exploration of visual poetry and the hidden architectonics of the human form. Here, gesture becomes meaning, and plasticity becomes a language understood without words. The exhibition invites the viewer to immerse themselves in this flawless balance, where each artwork resonates as a hymn to strength, grace, and aesthetics.
